About How Mr. Meyer Can Help You!

Fredericksburg Reckless Driving Lawyer

Fredericksburg VA Speeding Ticket Penalties Attorney

An arrest for reckless driving does not mean a conviction is automatic. Many of those charged with speeding or putting other drivers in danger automatically pay the fine, thinking they have no other option.

They are wrong. Options exist.

At the law office of Darren Meyer, we take a majority of traffic violation cases to trial. Other lawyers may automatically plead you guilty. We treat each case individually and strive for a satisfactory resolution based on the facts.

While the penalties associated with a reckless driving charge are based on your driving record, we will do everything we can to minimize the impact of a conviction. Contact us at 540-840-8470 to talk with an experienced Fredricksburg reckless driving lawyer.

In most cases, we can waive defendants appearances, negate any impact on employment, avoid potential of additional license suspensions, and get clients reductions or dismissals for driving school under certain circumstances.

Holding Law Enforcement Accountable

While law enforcement personnel have a difficult job monitoring the roadways of Virginia, they still must adhere to strict rules. Forgetting a step or taking a shortcut after pulling you over for weaving, tailgating or racing may represent a violation of your rights.

Protecting Your Rights In Court

Criminal defense attorney Darren Meyer takes many reckless driving cases into the courtroom. In preparing a reckless driving case, he researches the calibration of both the speedometer and the radar detector. In court, he takes an aggressive approach to the cross-examination of the officer who charged you.

Law enforcement has an obligation to make sure everything was done within your rights and the law. Mr. Meyer’s obligation is to protect those rights and bring the facts to the attention of the court.
